Upper Kiewa River Restoration - Mount Beauty

The Upper Kiewa River restoration project aims to improve and enhance waterway health, biodiversity and habitat values for threatened species of the Upper Kiewa River and associated tributaries. Riparian restoration activities will improve connectivity of native vegetation within the riparian zone of the upper Kiewa system to improve linkages to the State Forest and the Alpine National Park in the head waters of the catchment, providing increased corridors for native flora and fauna.

Types of activities involved with this project include, weed management, re-vegetation works, fencing, surveys, nest box construction and installation, track maintenance and community events.
