Average change in real GDP forecasts due to COVID-19 MENA 2020 by region

Adjusting for the impact of COVID-19, the real gross domestic product (GDP) forecasted for 2020 for the Gulf Cooperation Council countries (GCC) was expected to be 3.9 percent less than that forecasted for 2020 during October 2019. COVID-19 had resulted in a forecasted decrease in GDP across all Middle Eastern countries surveyed.
