A Dataset of Earth Observation Data for Water Detection

This dataset contains a curated collection of Sentinel-2 multispectral satellite images centered on airstrip locations across Brazil from the Earthrise Media Mining Detector data, with a focus on detecting and analyzing the presence of water bodies in their vicinity. It is designed to support research in remote sensing, computer vision, and environmental monitoring, especially for studying potential interactions between airstrips and nearby aquatic environments in diverse Brazilian landscapes.

 Imagery is provided as Level-2A Sentinel-2 data (atmospherically corrected) at 10 m, 20 m, and 60 m resolutions, spanning multiple spectral bands from visible to shortwave infrared (SWIR). Each image tile is centered on a known airstrip.
