Swiss PRETEST ISSP 2022 Family and Gender Roles

FORS conducted a pretest survey of the ISSP 2022 module on “Family and Changing Gender Roles V” from March 30 to April 15 as an online study in the French part of Switzerland. The pretest was based on non-probability online access panel with quotas on age and sex with the aim of having enough variations according to family situations. The final dataset includes 505 respondents all residents in the French part of Switzerland. Several quotas were not attained (see Table 1 in the "Fiche technique"). Note that men between 25 and 34 years old are under-represented. Older strata of the population are also underrepresented, particularly the 75 years old or older. As currently observed in all online access panels, respondents with a lower level of education are under-represented. The comparison with national statistics shows that it is particularly true for the oldest age-groups (see Table 1). The document "Fiche technique" gives more details about the implementation of this pretest survey. The results were used to finalise the ISSP 2022 questionnaire, fielded in Switzerland by FORS (see the "MOSAiCH 2022" project).
