Dataset and software for the numerical analysis of a circular ring using stiffness and hybrid stiffness-force finite element methods

This record provides a dataset and accompanying MATLAB software for the numerical analysis of a circular ring subjected to diametrically opposed forces. The dataset contains normalized displacements, stress distributions, and relative errors obtained using two finite element formulations: the stiffness method (SM) and the hybrid stiffness-force method (SFM). Analytical reference values are included to enable validation and reuse. The MATLAB implementation reproduces the numerical results presented in the associated publication, ensuring full reproducibility of the study. The dataset follows FAIR principles (findable, accessible, interoperable, and reusable) and is openly available to support transparency and further research.
