资源简介:
Between 1998 and 2001 this survey was conducted to describe the existing fauna and natural vegetation, as a basis for planning the route for construction of the Fairview Drain which is part of the Upper South East Dryland Salinity and Flood Mitigation Plan. A biological survey of existing vegetation and fauna was done before vegetation clearance for the Fairview Drain. After the Drain was constructed NVC conditional consent required revegetation of the spoilbanks. Photopoints were set up to monitor and compare 2 types of revegetation on the spoilbanks: Topsoiling or Topsoil and Mulching. The Deep Swamp Survey is part of the Biological Survey of South Australia Program which is a series of systematic surveys conducted across the state between 1971 and the present with the broad aim of providing a baseline inventory of South Australia's flora and fauna biodiversity.
