Last data update: October 30, 2018 This layer contains areas that have been labeled as grasslands by using landcover codes NAG, CUM, ALO, TPO and patch size criteria of > 50 ha and >100 ha. Please refer to the Natural Heritage System and Restoration Strategy for information. Ortho-photography from 2013, LSRCA's landcover layer from 2015, and field truth surveys from 2016 and 2017. Landcover and ortho-imagery initially used is now outdated. Grassland areas were identified using aerial images, landcover ELC mapping, field checks and staff knowledge of grassland areas of the watershed. Grasslands that were greater than 50 ha and 100 ha in size were included in this layer.
