UV-induced pyrimidine-pyrimidone (6-4) photoproducts (6-4PPs) and atypical thymine-adenine (TA) photoproducts were mapped in normal human skin fibroblasts following 500J/m2 of UVC irradiation and in isolated human genomic DNA (naked DNA control) irradiated with 400J/m2 of UVC irradiation. 6-4PPs and TA-PPs were mapped across the human genome using the UVDE-HS-seq method Overall design: A method known as UVDE-HS-seq was used to map the formation of UV-induced pyrimidine-pyrimidone (6-4) photoproducts (6-4PPs) and atypical thymine-adenine (TA) photoproducts across the genome of normal human skin fibroblasts (NHF1) cells after they were irradiated with a UV dose of 500 J/m2 of UVC light. As a control experiment, isolated human genomic DNA was irradiated with 400 J/m2 of UV (naked DNA control) and 6-4PPs and TA-PPs were mapped using UVDE-HS-seq.
