16S Amplicon Sequences from Atmospheric Pressure Incubations of Deep-Sea Hydrothermal Vent Fluid

In this study, we incubated hydrothermal fluids from the Crab Spa low-temperature hydrothermal vent (see refs https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S0967063716300681, http://www.pnas.org/content/115/26/6756 for more info) at atmospheric pressure under three distinct conditions (control; no additions, nitrate additions, and oxygen additions). Paired radiocarbon incubations were used with CARD-FISH and FACS (as described in https://www.nature.com/articles/ismej2015257) to assess the activity of three separate groups of Campylobacterial chemoautotrophs.
