This dataset contains supporting data for the manuscript entitled "Why not ask ChatGPT? A Development of New Scale: College Student’s Media Information Literacy in the Context of AI-Generated Content," submitted to the journal Education and Information Technologies (EIT).

It includes raw data, pilot survey data, and files related to confirmatory factor analysis (CFA). These data were used to develop and validate the MIL-AIGC scale for college students.

File descriptions:
- CFATesting.amp / .amw / .bk1: Files generated from CFA modeling and analysis.
- CFATesting.AmosOutput.amosoutput_tmp: Output files from AMOS software during CFA testing.
- FirstPre-surveyPilot.sav: Data from the first pilot survey.
- SecondPre-surveyPilot.sav: Data from the second pilot survey.
- FormalSurvey.sav: Data collected from the formal survey.

These files support the findings and conclusions presented in the related manuscript. Personal identifiers have been removed to protect participants' privacy.
