资源简介:
S2 - Level II Enhanced Surface Chemistry Network Data
The Southern Oxidants Study (SOS) conducted a major field research
campaign in Nashville/Middle Tennessee area in June and July 1994 and
1995. The goal of this study was to improve scientific understanding
of the processes that control the production and distribution of ozone
in the troposphere.
During the six-week 1995 Southern Oxidants Study (SOS)
Nashville/Middle Tennessee Ozone Study the Level II enhanced surface
chemistry network provided real-time measurements of continuous
(5-minute) high-sensitivity ozone (O3), speciated nitrogen oxides
(NO/NOy/NO2), carbon monoxide (CO), and sulfur dioxide (SO2) at seven
monitoring stations across middle Tennessee. Midday pressurized
canister samples for volatile organic compounds (VOC) were also
collected at each Level II station and analyzed by the University of
Miami (Rod Zika). Standard meteorological packages were also employed
at each site recording 5-minute wind sped, wind direction,
temperature, relative humidity, and solar radiation to aid in data
interpretation.
The monitoring sites were located at:
Cove Mountain, TN
Dickson, TN
Nashville, TN
Giles County, TN
Land Between the Lakes, KY
Mammoth Cave, KY
Youth, Incorporated (Smyrna), TN
The study was conducted from June 19, 1995 through July 28, 1995.
The Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA) was the coordinator for the 1995
Southern Oxidants Study Nashville/Middle Tennessee Ozone Study. See:
