Land Use and Land Cover Map 2023 - Northern Region of National Park of Kibale

Land Use and Land Cover map 2023 of northern Kibale National Park. The report presents the methodology used to produce the land use and land cover map of the northern zone of Kibale National Park and its surrounding area. This mapping was carried out by Nitidae NGO as part of the technical assistance provided to the FoFauPopU project. It is based on an ad hoc land typology and field data collected in September 2023, and follows a remote sensing approach using PLANET and SENTINEL satellite images acquired in the first half of 2023. This dataset include :- the LULC map in geotiff format (resolution : 5 meters, projection : WGS 84 / UTM zone 36N)- the QGIS symbology file (qml)- the LULC map in A3 format (pdf)- the training plots used to performed the supervised classification (shapefile format)- the report of the methodology including the accuracy assessement (pdf, french version only).
