Korean Twitter Discourse on Sexual Violence

This repository contains supporting data for the article titled: "From Fragmented Narratives to Systemic Critiques: Topic Modeling Korean Twitter Discourse on Sexual Violence, 2015–2023" The dataset includes anonymized and non-sensitive metadata from related to the #Sexual_Violence in Korea, collected for scholarly analysis. Due to Twitter’s Developer Policy, we share only tweet IDs and permalinks. Full tweet texts are not included. 📁 Contents tweetLinks_and_IDs_metoo_violence_2015-2023.csv:A list of Tweet IDs and URLs included in the study. phase: tweets of pre-metoo (before 2018) tweet_date: posting date tweet_url: permlink tweetID: unique twee id Topic_terms_weights_in_Korean.xlsx: Topic terms of all the topics (50 terms per each topic) Term: topic terms Probability: Term-topic probability Topic_proportions_before-after_meToo.xlsx: Topic proportion ratios before meToo movement (2018) and after meToo movement Researchers may rehydrate tweet content using the Tweet IDs and Twitter’s API. This dataset is intended to support: Reproducibility of our computational topic modeling and trend analyses Further research on discourse dynamics, hashtag activism, and online gendered speech
