Track runners

Track walkers are people who walk along or on the tracks. Track walking is life-threatening and detrimental to punctuality. Infrabel is working hard to secure the most sensitive points and to provide various technical and infrastructural measures against track walking: trip mats which, due to their unevenness, make it impossible to cross the tracks; fences around sensitive areas; prohibition signs at the edge of platforms, which have a dissuasive effect; cameras along the tracks which allow us to spot track walkers; awareness campaigns to make the general public and specific target groups aware of the numerous dangers and consequences of track walking.
