LGRB-BW Protection function of groundwater cover below the soil (water management used GWL, variant 2)

The protective function of groundwater cover below the soil is a partial result from the calculation of the protective function of groundwater cover according to Hölting et. al. (1995) and semi-quantitatively describes the dwelling time of the leaching water below the soil (maximum 1 m) to the groundwater surface of the aquifer used for water management (Fachbericht LGRB 2020/1). The unsaturated zone can consist of both loose rock and solid rock. The result is available as a digital area data set in a 40 meter grid. It was divided into the points classes according to Hölting and, in combination with the overall protection function (variant 2), indicates the proportion of the total protection function of groundwater cover below the soil.
