Mevalonate (MVA) pathway is conserved across different organisms. Mevalonate diphosphate decarboxylase MVD/Erg19 one of the key MVD is a key enzyme of the mevalonic acid (MVA) pathway and it plays important roles in organisms, including microbes, plants, and animals. Over expression or RNAi of AoErg19 delayed the growth and sporulation, and decreased the ergosterol contents in A. oryzae. This study, we took advantage of RNA-seq to analyze the gene transcription profile in AoErg19 over expression (OE) and RNAi strains. The fresh spore suspensions (about 1×107 spores/ml) of wild type (A. oryzae 3.042), over expression and RNAi strains were cultured for 48 on DPY medium and collected for RNA-seq. Every sample was done 2 biological repeats for RNA-seq. And this study identified the differentially expressed genes (DEG) AoErg19 over expression and RNAi strains.
