Hybrid speciation in Viola sect. Melanium

The study investigates the role of distribution and ecology (especially substrate requirements) of the parental species on both traits of their hybrid offspring. Using RADseq data, we show for two examples from Viola sect. Melanium the importance of distribution and ecology in hybrid speciation, which is an important mechanism in plant evolution.
