VPRS 13975 Temporary Teacher Record Books

The Temporary Teacher Record Books were created to document any teacher appointments in temporary positions in Victorian government schools in the 1950s and early 1960s. They are arranged by teachers' surnames.Information may include:The name of the teacherThe position(s) heldDuties of the position (eg. the subjects being taught)The class of salary givenThe start and finish dates of the temporary placementPrior to 1959 records of teachers employed on a temporary basis were recorded in the Teacher Record Books, see VPRS 13579 or VPRS 13718 for the microfilm copy of the Teacher Record Books available in the Reading Rooms.This series was transferred to PROV from the Education History Unit of the Department of Education and Training.
