WCs NW Digital Orthophotos Flood Event 2021

In the WCS NW DOP HW21, Geobasis NRW provides one-time digital orthophoto material collected outside of regular image flight planning for areas of severe weather events in 2021. It serves a fast documentation of long-term recognizable damage after the flooding event, but does not satisfy the quality requirement of the regular DOP of the official surveying system. The flight was carried out between February and April 2022. Due to the unsolicited vegetation, damage or changes can be detected using aerial image data. The selection of the four special aircraft was carried out in coordination with the IM NRW and due to the requirements of the municipalities concerned. The Digital Orthophotos from the regular flight between February and June 2021 are used as reference data before the flood event.
