Daman Database Change Manager

This Snowflake Native Application gives consumers the ability to deploy code from any source control and manage the entire deployment process. App Users will be able to review the code, enforce coding standards, approve code migration and deploy the Snowflake code components to multiple environments.

This app provides the following capabilities:
- Connect to source code management repo.
- Fully manage the change management lifecycle for Snowflake data cloud with the ability to create a new database and handle all deployments to that database.
- Raise a deployment request for Snowflake code objects.
- Provide review and code deployment approval capability based on role assignments.
- Deploy code to specific environments.

User interface
Main Page Setup When the app is installed for the first time , this page allows the admin to grant the account privileges to an application for running this app. After this setup , it redirects to “About us” which has the details of the vendor.

The Configuration screen allows the user to change the configuration settings like adding new Snowflake database for different environments and also configuring new source control system.

The Requestor Dashboard screen allows the user to connect to the source control system (already configured) and select the appropriate code for deployment to higher environments.
- Submit Deployment Request - Allows the data engineer/user to submit a request for deployment
- Deployment Log History - Provides the detailed logs for all the deployment requests. The status of any new or completed request and the corresponding status can be obtained in this screen.
- Deployment Change History - Provides the detailed deployment change history with script version, checksum etc.
Approver Dashboard screen allows the user to connect to the source control system (already configured) and select the appropriate code for deployment to higher environments.
- Submit Deployment Request - Allows data engineer/user to submit a request for deployment
- Review and Approve Deployment Request - Allows the Admin user to review the deployment request and approve/reject the request. This also allows the user to deploy the code for the approved requests.
- Deployment Log History - Provides the detailed logs for all the deployment requests .The status of any new or completed request and the corresponding status can be obtained in this screen.
- Deployment Change History - Provides the detailed deployment change history with script version, checksum etc.

Consumer can switch to the different role by exiting out of the application, switching your role at the top-left of the Snowflake UI, then navigating back to the Apps.
