This dataset is associated with a paper submitted to Proceedings of the Royal Society of London Series B by Palci et al. 2021 (doi: 10.1098/rspb.2021.1391). Abaqus CAE Simulia 2019 (Dassault Systémes, Velizy-Villacoublay) project files for FEA of four 3D models of the venom fang of the snake <i>Fordonia leucobalia</i>: original model (GroovePlicidentine) and modified versions which involved removal of the basal plicidentine infoldings (GrooveNoPlicidentine), the venom groove (NoGroovePlicidentine), or both (NoGrooveNoPlicidentine).<br>Loads 1, 1A, 2, and 2A respectively corresponds to loads 1, 2, 3, and 4 in the manuscript.<br>
