The present study aims to investigate the broad spectrum of bacteria communities and metabolic functions in activated sludge from a typical municipal A2O reactor based on metagenomic approach and HTS technology. The metagenome data was used to investigate the biological communities in oxic sludge, and characterize the functional profiles of the biological community.
