Social recognition and short-term memory in the striped mouse genus Rhabdomys

Dataset containing measures of the latency to approach and duration of investigation in same-species dyadic encounters between familiar and unknown conspecific females in cryptic Rhabdomys pumilio and R. dilectus chakae. “R” code used in the statistical analysis of the data is also included.
