Effect of Locus of Control and Gender on Happiness among Adolescents

The purpose of the present study was to study the effect of locus of control and gender on happiness level among adolescents. Participants were randomly selected from the city of Cuttack (located in the state of Odisha, India) and their responses was collected on Julian Rotter's Locus of Control scale and Oxford’s Happiness Questionnaire. Prior to the study, all of the ethical procedures of the study were completed, and the study was conducted in accordance with the tenets of the Declaration of Helsinki. Descriptive statistics were done to summarize the dependent and independent variables. For all analyses, results were considered statistically significant at the p ≤ .05 level, and a between-subjects ANOVA was used to analyze the shortlisted data.
