Places where global consumers would use a QR code for payments 2020-2021

A 2021 survey with consumers from several countries - including the U.S. and UK - found that restaurants or bars were common places to pay with QR codes. In April 2021, around 37 percent of respondents were will were willing to use a QR code as payment in a restaurant or bar. This was, however, significantly less than the 44 percent recorded in September 2020. That change could possibly be attributed to the survey changing ownership - potentially changing the survey question somewhat as other countries were surveyed and another category ("Supermarkets, malls and electronics store") was added.
