Four biological replicates were performed for each treatment. After filtration, the mycelia were weighed, and then incubated in 0.5 M NaOH in a water bath at 100°C for 5 hours to extract melanin. After the extract was cooled, it was acidified with concentrated hydrochloric acid to pH 2.0 to precipitate melanin, followed by centrifugation at 10,000 × g for 15 minutes to obtain the melanin precipitate. The precipitate was dissolved in 0.5 M NaOH solution, and the absorbance was measured at 459 nm.
