Discovery: an open source library to facilitate the use of RDF knowledge graphs in life sciences

Discovery is an open source software library that aims to facilitate the development of decision support tools using RDF databases. The API provides a dedicated query language for creating and maintaining complex queries that can be used in multiple web environments. We use Discovery in web interfaces for the MetaboHUB consortium web applications: FORUM (Metabolism Knowledge Network Portal) PeakForest (The Metabolomics spectral database web portal) Discovery allows the programmatic exploitation of RDF resources in the design of web applications. The API features facilitate debugging and maintenance of a software web component. Discovery is available for free at https://github.com/p2m2/discovery and can be downloaded from web development repositories (CDN, NPM, Maven).
