Gram negative bacteria genome sequencing assembly

This study developed workflows for acquisition of total and plasmid DNA sequences using NGS technologies to rapidly identify pathogens and antimicrobial resistance genes. We then compared total cellular DNA (chromosomal+plasmids) versus plasmid-only DNA to assess which method predicts antimicrobial resistance in a reliable and rapid way that suits the setting of the clinical laboratory.
