Winter wheat dataset in North China Plain from 2003 to 2022

Based on MODIS ( Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer ) Enhanced Vegetation Index ( EVI ) data and existing wheat thematic data products, this study proposes a dynamic threshold decision tree classification algorithm that does not rely on measured samples. The algorithm aims to reduce the uncertainty of traditional methods using fixed thresholds and the dependence on measured samples, thereby improving the accuracy of crop extraction and the generalization ability of the model. Based on this method, the annual winter wheat planting area in North China Plain from 2003 to 2022 was extracted, and the temporal and spatial variation of winter wheat planting area was analyzed. This study not only provides a new method for dynamic monitoring of winter wheat planting area, but also deepens the understanding of the change law of winter wheat planting area in North China Plain, and provides data support for the formulation of cultivated land protection and management strategies to ensure national food security.
