Dutch Centre For Field Ornithology (SOVON) - Breeding Bird Monitoring Program

The Dutch Breeding Bird Monitoring Program('BMP') is based on the method of intensive territory mapping in study plots, as described in depth in the manual 'Handleiding Sovon Broedvogelonderzoek 2011'. As well as numbers of territories, from which population trends are assessed, this method produces a map for each species, census plot and year to show exactly where the birds were (and were not) holding territory.
