Gravitational wave waveforms for black hole-neutron star merger calculations. The physical inputs adopt Newtonian physics, including the ideal gas equation of state with variable compressibility (governed by the adiabatic index γ, or gamma) and point-mass gravitational radiation reaction. This radiation reaction effect is disabled in the simulations once the star undergoes tidal perturbation. All simulations are three-dimensional and implemented using Smoothed Particle Hydrodynamics (SPH).
