Analysis of bacterial community in 1599 milk samples from dairy cows and 399 milk samples from non-dairy sheep mammary glands in a longitudinal study from parturition and into lactation. 16S rRNA gene fragments were amplified for all samples and then analysed to determine whether there was a core microbiome in these ruminant's mammary glands over time.
