Updated Phylogenomic Reconstruction of Arcellinid Testate Amoebae

We generated transcriptomes for 13 previously genomicly unsampled amoebozoan amoeba species most of which were arcellinid testate amoebae. We did this through mRNA extraction from either monoclonal cultures or single-cells isolated from natural samples. We used these data to investigate the evolutionary relationships among these organisms and to estimate the timing of the divergence of Arcellinida through molecular clock analyses.
