Geological map of Bavaria 1:25,000

The Geological Map of Bavaria 1:25,000 represents the geological construction of the Bavarian countryside. The looser and fixed rocks on the terrain surface are reproduced in the map image (surface map). It shows the spread and storage of rocks. The map forms, among other things, a basis for assessing the soil formation, the building ground, the water flow, the spread of usable looser and solid rocks, the possible range of environmental damage and the protective function of the subsurface. The mapbook contains point, lines and area themes. Per map sheet, an explanatory volume with earth and landscape history, rock description, stratigraphy and tectonics is produced.
