Brazil: most popular retail e-commerce categories 2019

Apparel, footwear and sporting goods were items bought online most often in Brazil in 2019. During a survey, 49 percent of responding internet users said that they had bought an item of this type in the 12 months leading up to the survey. Second most popular category were household products and appliances with 45 percent. In 2018, e-commerce in Brazil generated an estimated 28 billion U.S. dollars in revenue, out of which nearly a third was generated by mobile sales.
