Main and secondary hydrographic network characterised by high levels of overall ecological quality (quality of water and river habitat) and/or the presence of ecologically characteristic plant and animal species, corresponding to the highly suitable river nodes and ecosystems of the ecological river network. These are therefore stretches of river ecosystems with the function of a source of aquatic biodiversity often characterized by waters classified asalmonides, by more or less continuous and developed riparian vegetation, and by a high or good Ecological State.
