Currently, increased occurrence of angular leaf spot disease on cucumbers has caused serious economic losses in cucumber production worldwide. Pseudomonas syringae pv. lachrymans (Psl) NM002 strain is a causal pathogen of angular spot disease on Cucurbitaceae crops. Once infected by the pathogen of Psl NM002, yields of cucumbers can decrease significantly, caused by reduced photosynthetic capacity of the infected foliage, and the disease is difficult to control.
