Wave and Current Measurements

This dataset is composed of time-series observations of wave and current parameters recorded with Nortek Signature 1000 (1 MHz) acoustic Doppler profiler instruments. These data were collected in open water areas in Coastal Louisiana wetland environments to evaluate the relationship between wave conditions and sediment erosion. Instruments were deployed in wetland areas that had been subject to marsh terracing as well as proximal control sites that had not been modified. These data were collected as part of a project designed to evaluate the efficacy of marsh terracing as a wetland restoration technique.
