Emission Inventory Database (EID)

Description of the Emission Inventory Database (EID) This dataset contains high-resolution gridded anthropogenic emission fields from road transport for the urban area of Thessaloniki, Greece, for the reference year 2019. Emissions are provided at a spatial resolution of 2 × 2 km², covering the full Thessaloniki modeling domain. The emission data are distributed as ASCII text files, reporting hourly emissions in grams per hour per grid cell (g h⁻¹ cell⁻¹) for a wide range of gaseous and particulate pollutants. The dataset is intended for use in air quality modeling and emission inventory analyses. This research was carried out within the framework of the project Environmental digital Twin for smart cities (ENVITWIN) of the National Recovery and Resilience Plan Greece 2.0, funded by the European Union—NextGenerationEU (Implementation body: HFRI).
