A NanoString targeted gene panel was used to elucidate the transcriptomic changes occurring in non-human primate whole blood during Crimean Congo Hemorrhagic Fever Virus infection. Twelve cynomolgus macaques were challenged with either Afghan09-2990 or Kosava Hoti strain at a target dose of 6 log10 PFU/mL. Blood samples were collected on days 0, 1-7, 9, 12, 14, 21, and 28 for total RNA extraction and NanoString analysis using the nCounter NHP Immunology v2 Panel.
