资源简介:
This dataset includes discrete profile measurements of dissolved inorganic carbon (DIC), total alkalinity, temperature, salinity and nutrients during the USCGC Healy HLY0802; BEST '08 Spring cruise (EXPOCODE 33HQ20080329) in the Bering Sea from 2008-03-29 to 2008-05-06. The cruise was funded by the National Science Foundation (NSF) for the Bering Sea Ecosystem Study-Bering Sea Integrated Ecosystem Research Program (BEST-BSIERP) and supported by numerous agencies and institutions. The CTD operations on the cruise were managed by personnel from NOAA/PMEL in the Eco FOCI program, with technical expertise from Scripps Institution of Oceanography personnel, and deployment assistance from Healy personnel. These data were collected by Nicholas Bates of Bermuda Institute of Ocean Sciences (BIOS) and Jeremy T. Mathis of NOAA Pacific Marine Environmental Laboratory (PMEL) as part of the CLIVAR_HLY0802 dataset. CDIAC associated the following cruise ID(s) with this dataset: BEST '08 Spring and HLY0802. The CARINA (CARbon dioxide IN the Atlantic Ocean) data synthesis project is an international collaborative effort of the EU IP CARBOOCEAN, and U.S. partners. It has produced a merged internally consistent dataset of open ocean subsurface measurements for biogeochemical investigations, in particular, studies involving the carbon system. The original focus area was the North Atlantic Ocean, but over time the geographic extent expanded and CARINA now includes data from the entire Atlantic, the Arctic Ocean, and the Southern Ocean. The International CLIVAR Global Ocean Carbon and Repeat Hydrography Program carries out a systematic and global re-occupation of select WOCE/JGOFS hydrographic sections to quantify changes in storage and transport of heat, fresh water, carbon dioxide (CO2), and related parameters.
