资源简介:
<p>The files contained in this directory are the data
output files from analysis carried out and described in detail in Wilkinson,
M., Bell, M.C., & Morison, J.I.L. (2021) "A Raspberry Pi based camera system and image-processing procedure for
low-cost and long-term monitoring of forest canopy dynamics. Methods in Ecology
and Evolution. (<a href='https://besjournals.onlinelibrary.wiley.com/journal/2041210x' rel='nofollow ugc'>https://besjournals.onlinelibrary.wiley.com/journal/2041210x</a>).</p>
<p>This paper describes the construction of a low-cost
Raspberry Pi camera system that is robust and suitable for the acquisition of
long-term, high frequency, forest canopy images. The low cost of each camera
means multiple systems could be used to provide the required spatial sampling.
We also present an open-source R script for post-processing these images to
provide a semi-automated processing chain, easily adaptable for use at other
forest sites. The processing chain used to convert raw images from the
Raspberry Pi camera systems through to calculation of canopy parameters such as
fraction canopy closure are fully described in the supplementary information
available with the online version of that paper.</p><p>The data archived here have been processed from 4
Raspberry Pi cameras located in the Straits Inclosure, Alice Holt Forest, UK
between 2018 - 2020. Half-hourly images from those camera have been processed
using the processing chain presented in the supplementary information. Column
headers for these data are as follows;
