Consists of papers from the Lands Department dealing with C. Ledger's attempt to introduce alpacas into New South Wales 1860-64, together with a report written by the Sheep and Wool Instructor, E.A. Elliot in 1922 from which an article was prepared for the Agricultural Gazette of New South Wales, May 1923, pp. 341-42. There are many more papers in Lands Department correspondence.
