Waveform Dataset of Multi-Type, Multi-Energy Charged Particles Collected with a Silicon Detector

We have constructed a high-resolution waveform dataset that contains various types of charged particles at different energy levels. In the actual experiment, ions accelerated by the GIC4117 2 × 1.7 MV series accelerator at the Analytical and Testing Center of Beijing Normal University were measured using a semiconductor detector. The detector used was a 300 µm thick ORTEC U-013-150-300 ion-implanted silicon detector. The preamplifier used in the experiment was the CANBERRA 2003BT charge-sensitive preamplifier, which has a very low noise level. The output from this preamplifier is the Timing Output, providing a differential current output that corresponds to particle events. We followed the experimental setup mentioned above to collect waveforms for five types of particles at three energy levels: H (2.5 MeV), B (2.5, 3.75, and 5 MeV), C (2.5 MeV), O (2.5 MeV), and Al (2.5 MeV). The waveform acquisition interval was 0.2 ns per data point. We retained the waveforms starting from the rising edge and recorded them for a duration of 120 ns (600 data points), after which the baseline voltage was removed, forming the dataset.
