Periodic dry-wet irrigation promotes apple sapling growth via reshaping rhizosphere microbiome and enhancing nitrogen availability

This study utilized two-year-old apple trees (Fuji variety with a Malus hupehensis Rehd. Rootstock) to investigate the effects of a periodic dry-wet irrigation (30-day cycles) regimen on apple root growth, rhizosphere soil microbial community composition, and soil nitrogen transformation.
