"Dataset and Python Code for 'Immersive Journalism and the Shift to the Metaverse: A Bibliometric and NLP Analysis with Projections to 2030'"

This repository contains the dataset and Python analysis code used in the manuscript entitled “Immersive Journalism and the Shift to the Metaverse: A Bibliometric and NLP Analysis with Projections to 2030.” The manuscript is written in English and has been submitted to Journalism and Media (MDPI), while the dataset and code documentation are provided in Turkish. The file Immersive_Journalism_Dataset_2005-2026.xlsx contains the cleaned dataset consisting of 143 Scopus-indexed publications. The file Sürükleyici_Gazetecilik_Metaverse_Analiz_Kodu.py contains the main analysis pipeline, including the calculation of the Metaverse Proximity Score (MPS), thematic mapping, and keyword growth analyses. The file Etik_Trend_Sağlamlık_Testleri.py contains the statistical robustness tests for the ethical discourse trend, including the Cochran–Armitage trend test, Wilson confidence intervals, Fisher’s exact test, and bootstrap analysis.
