Antimicrobial resistance data

Data showing the occurrence and spread of antimicrobial (antibiotic) resistance in Europe since 1998. Data is collected on the resistance to key antimicrobial groups of seven microorganisms of major public health importance: Escherichia coli, Klebsiella pneumoniae, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Acinetobacter species, Streptococcus pneumoniae, Staphylococcus aureus, and Enterococci. A database allows users to generate tables, maps or graphs for antibiotic/pathogen combinations by country and by year. Annual reports present more in-depth data and analysis. The European Antimicrobial Resistance Surveillance Network (EARS-Net) is the main EU surveillance system for antimicrobial resistance. Data reported from the network serve as important indicators on the occurrence and spread of resistance to antimicrobial agents in European countries. All 28 EU Member States and two of the remaining three EEA countries (Iceland and Norway) participate in EARS-Net.
