资源简介:
Asian tiger mosquito Aedes albopictus is a vector of several viral diseases, such as the yellow fever virus, dengue fever, Chikungunya fever. It is assumed that tiger mosquito can also transmit Zika virus. This invasive species, whose native range is Southeast Asia, has spread throughout Africa, North and South America, and since the end of the 20th century it has spread widely across the Mediterranean coast of Europe. A. albopictus is absent on the territory of Central Russia and the Volga region, but it was found on the Black Sea coast of the North Caucasus. In the case of the introduction of mosquitoes with viral pathogens, the coastal area between Adler and Novorossiysk may be under the threat of tropical infectious diseases. The goal of this project is to compare pooled genomes of A. albopictus from natural populations living in different climatic conditions, from coastal and inland areas of Southern Russia
