The Register of applications for auctioneers’, hawkers’, coach and other licenses dealt with by the Bench of Magistrates records such information as: the number of the application, the date of hearing, the name of applicant, the country they are native to, the nature of the licence applied for, the result of the application and the signature of the Magistrate.On the first page of the index in this volume is a List of Names of Honorary Magistrates forming the Local Bench of Darlington Point. Each entry provides the name, address of the Magistrate and their date of appointment to the commission of the peace.This register is part of a volume also containing memorandums of cases committed for trial, a list of furniture in the court house, and a list of the law books at the court house.
