This series consists of correspondence relating to the review of the Legal Profession Act, 1987 (Act No. 109, 1987).The Law Reform Commission was inaugurated on 1 January 1966 (1) simultaneously with most provisions of the Law Reform (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act, 1965 (Act No. 32, 1965) and formally constituted by the Law Reform Commission Act, 1967 (Act No. 39, 1967). The Commission’s role was to review, simplify or modernise laws in response to community consultation.The records include memorandums, letters, printouts of emails, submissions, responses from the Commissioner and complaints against the conduct of lawyers.The correspondence is arranged in chronological order in bound folders organised by type of documentation.Endnote:1.
